When Sonya Dawson was in middle school, some students would taunt her, yelling, “Dander, tetter, psoriasis, ringworm. Stops itching fast!” a phrase from her family company's campy TV commercial.
Embarrassing then, but not so now for Dawson, who runs GHC Group LLC, a successful family business that owns Blue Star Ointment, a topical salve sold in a 2-ounce jar.
Blue Star Ointment is viewed as a must-have by national chains that include Walmart and Walgreens, and is on shelves at H-E-B, CVS Caremark and Rite-Aid Pharmacy.
